Thelma Crago

RED HOUSE - Thelma Crago, 79, of Red House, Putnam County, died May
19, 1998, at home after a short illness.

She was a graduate of Poca High School, Morris Harvey College and
the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and was a retired
Putnam County teacher/principal with 27 years' service, having served
Confidence and
Liberty elementary schools. She was a member of
Hometown Senior Citizens Center and a volunteer for Putnam General
Hospital and Riverside Nursing Home.

Surviving: daughter, Deanna Pitchford of Red House; son, Leolen Crago
of Winfield; sisters, Ruth Harrison of Red House, Augusta Roach of
Scott Depot; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with
Pastor Calvin Akers officiating. Burial will be in Parkins Cemetery,
Liberty. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
