Walter Crago never recovered from the injuries received from this accident.
In fact his condition continued to deteriorate until his death three years later.
Walter eventually needed round the clock care and the family simply could not afford it.
An arrangement was struck when a woman offered to care for Walter in his home for free, provided she was allowed to bring in other elderly persons in need of a caregiver that she could make a charge for.
I believe that woman's name may have been Margie Bucannon or Buchanan.
She was also the biological mother of the two girls that were adopted by Arnie Day Craigo and Naomi (Gibson) Craigo.
